Pharmacy Technician

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with various tasks related to medication handling and pharmacy operations. The role focuses on the precise preparation, dispensing, and management of drugs while ensuring compliance with hospital standards and health regulations.

Main Duties

• Aid pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, packaging, and labelling of medications following established protocols
• Manage receipt, storage, and organization of medicines with attention to correct storage requirements and maintaining inventory accuracy
• Handle prescription processing and keep thorough records and documentation pertaining to pharmacy operations
• Participate in inventory management activities such as stock taking, monitoring medication expiry dates, rotating stock, and restocking supplies

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or a comparable discipline
• Current professional registration and classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
• Between 1 and 3 years working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar pharmaceutical support role
• Experience within healthcare settings or hospitals is advantageous
