Role Summary
The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and ethical dispensing of medications, while maintaining high standards of patient care. This position demands careful review of prescriptions, counseling patients on medication usage, monitoring drug therapies, and coordinating with healthcare teams to enhance patient health outcomes.
Primary Duties
- Analyze and validate prescriptions for correctness and suitability.
- Dispense medications per legal and regulatory guidelines with proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation related to medication dispensing.
- Educate patients on correct medication protocols, potential side effects, interactions, and storage methods.
- Respond to patient inquiries about non-prescription drugs and general wellness topics.
- Keep detailed patient medication records and manage prescription archives accurately.
- Administer inventory control processes, including procurement, receipt, and safe storage of pharmaceutical stock.
- Enforce compliance with all pharmacy policies, safety standards, and applicable laws.
