Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharma Recruiter to manage the hiring process for positions within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors. The role involves sourcing, screening, and securing qualified talent across various functions such as R&D, regulatory, clinical, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle for pharmaceutical and life sciences vacancies.
- Identify candidates by leveraging job portals, professional networks, and referrals.
- Review resumes and conduct preliminary HR interviews to determine candidate fit.
- Arrange interviews with hiring managers and track application progress.
- Develop and nurture a network of pharma industry professionals including scientists, regulatory experts, and clinical researchers.
- Negotiate salary packages and manage offer distribution.
- Maintain recruitment data through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure adherence to organizational hiring practices and documentation standards.
- Build and maintain relationships within pharmaceutical networks and industry groups.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or equivalent field.
- MBA or PGDM in HR is an advantage.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in recruitment, ideally focused on pharma, biotech, or healthcare sectors.
- Familiarity hiring for roles such as Pharma Sales & Marketing, Clinical Research Associate, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Quality Assurance, Medical Representative, and Formulation Scientist.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical industry roles and associated terminology.
- Proficient in candidate sourcing using platforms like LinkedIn, job boards, and internal databases.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and candidate evaluation abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple recruitment assignments concurrently.
- Experienced in using ATS and recruitment analytics tools.
- Previous experience partnering with pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), or life sciences consultancies is preferred.
