About the Role
India Pharma People, a leading pharmaceutical company, invites applications for the position of Group Product Manager based in Chennai and Mumbai. This role centers on leading pharmaceutical product management initiatives, formulating marketing strategies, and managing product teams to drive market growth and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new product opportunities by analyzing market feedback and therapeutic requirements.
- Develop comprehensive business cases and ensure timely product selection that aligns with company goals.
- Plan and execute product launches, creating manuals and positionings, coordinating closely with sales teams.
- Perform post-launch evaluations to monitor product performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Manage multiple facets of product management including budgeting, forecasting, marketing communications, strategy development, and market/customer engagement throughout the product lifecycle.
- Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring the team maintains deep understanding of customer needs.
- Craft product strategies for individual or groups of products and establish processes for specific product segments and their managers.
- Promote organizational values and culture within the team, encouraging feedback and continuous growth.
- Oversee branding and promotional campaigns through research, positioning strategies, and coordination with advertising partners.
- Mentor and lead the product management team by conducting performance evaluations and developing improvement plans.
- Contribute to annual budget planning to allocate resources appropriately.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate degree in any science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical product management.
- Sound knowledge of the Indian pharmaceutical industry, including competitive landscape and customer behaviour.
- Strategic planning capabilities with a focus on long-term product roadmap development.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market situations.
- Financial acumen including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication abilities and proficiency in data analysis.
- Adaptability to evolving pharmaceutical market trends and regulatory changes.
