Job Responsibilities

• Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and styling tailored to breed standards and client wishes.
• Carry out nail trimming, ear cleaning, and essential hygiene procedures in a gentle, safe manner.
• Observe pets for any coat or skin concerns and communicate relevant grooming advice to owners.
• Maintain grooming tools, clean work areas, and adhere to sanitation protocols.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, managing client check-in and check-out processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure attentive care and a positive grooming experience for every animal.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in various grooming techniques focused on breed-specific needs including bathing, trimming, and styling.
• Skilled in safe handling and restraint methods to minimize stress and ensure safety of animals during grooming.
• Experience performing basic hygiene tasks such as nail clipping and ear cleaning with care and confidence.
• Good customer communication skills to explain grooming options, manage expectations, and give aftercare instructions.
• Strict adherence to cleanliness and infection control, including sanitizing tools and maintaining hygiene in grooming spaces.
• Physical capability to stand for long durations, handle pets of different sizes, and perform repetitive grooming tasks safely.
• Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related animal care role is preferred; certifications in grooming are an advantage.
• Dependability and punctuality with willingness to work consistent hours, including weekends and busy periods.
