Role Overview

As a Pest Control Technician, you will deliver industry-leading pest management services to residential customers. Your role involves identifying pest issues, applying effective treatments such as pesticides and traps, and recommending preventive measures, all while maintaining client communication and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of client homes to locate signs of pest presence, damages, and potential entry points.
• Utilize approved pest control products—including chemicals, baits, and traps—to eliminate infestations safely and effectively.
• Advise customers on pest prevention strategies to minimize future risks and maintain pest-free environments.
• Develop strong customer relationships by scheduling and confirming appointments, assisting with sales, and expanding product usage to clientele.
• Maintain pest control tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and functional.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations relating to pest control products and safety procedures.
• Operate company-provided vehicles responsibly, with routine maintenance handled by the company.

Essential Job Functions & Working Conditions

• Work in confined or restricted areas such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow passageways.
• Exposure to animals, insects, termites, and handling of mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals with proper training for safety.
• Perform physically active tasks including climbing, kneeling, stooping, balancing, crawling, and moving extensively.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) including OSHA-compliant respirators.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions using company-supplied protective gear.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be clean shaven to ensure proper fit and seal of protective respirators.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant experience and training.
• Hold a valid driver's license in your state of residence (company vehicle and fuel card provided).
• Obtain any necessary licenses or certifications as required by laws and company; these are covered by the employer.
• Available to work Monday through Friday and on weekends when necessary.
• Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in all aspects of pest control.
• Good verbal, reading, and writing communication skills.
• Basic mathematical ability to follow instructions especially related to product mixing.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
