Pest Control Technician

About the Role

We are searching for a Pest Control Technician to join our team in the South and West Wales branch, servicing areas including Portsmouth, Southampton, and Bournemouth. This role is ideal for those who enjoy autonomous schedule management and solving unique pest-related challenges face-to-face with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit both domestic and commercial clients to provide bird and rodent-proofing services such as installing bird netting, bird spikes, and rodent-proof systems, including cleaning bird droppings and rodent waste.
• Install pest control hardware like external bait stations and the Flexi Armour system to prevent pest entry, assist with routine inspections, and support local technicians as necessary.
• Ensure job safety by adhering to risk assessments and method statements, particularly when working at heights or confined spaces.
• Lead technical operations by managing job progress from start to completion, handling material orders, equipment access, and daily operational independence when required.
• Provide excellent customer service by identifying pest issues and discussing potential new business opportunities, even during adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Hold a full UK driving licence for over two years with no more than six penalty points.
• GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English at grade C (level 4) or higher are preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs including weekend and occasional overnight work.
• May require passing a DBS background check depending on the assigned role.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary of £27,669 annually, with expected on-target earnings of approximately £32,447 including bonuses and commission.
