Join ParaMed Home Health Care as a Personal Support Worker in Port Elgin, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple patient homes daily to provide personalized care.
• Assist in meal preparation and support patients during mealtimes.
• Perform basic housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bathing and showering.
• Support patients with basic activities of daily living to promote independence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle to travel between patient locations.
• Experience caring for seniors and/or children is considered an asset.
• Previous experience providing personal hygiene care is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work every other weekend and willingness to visit clients within the designated service area.
• Successful completion or satisfaction of a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
• Compassionate nature with strong listening skills and community care passion.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $22.59 to $25.38, reflecting skills, experience, and education.
• Full-time employees in the Grey Bruce area are eligible for a $1500 bonus paid in two installments, with the second payment at six months.
• Part-time employees in the same area are eligible for a $1000 bonus paid similarly.
