About the Role

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team in Kincardine, Ontario. We are Canada's leading home health care provider, delivering a broad range of nursing, therapeutic, personal, and home support services. Our mission is to offer personalized, coordinated care that supports independent living and alleviates hospital capacity pressures, providing services wherever people call home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel between multiple patient homes daily to provide care
  • Prepare meals and assist patients during meal times
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties to support the living environment
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing
  • Support patients in performing activities of daily living

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrated compassion and strong listening abilities
  • A sincere desire to make a positive impact in the community
  • Willingness to work within assigned geographic areas and visit patients in their homes
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • Experience with seniors and/or children advantageous but not required
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background screening upon hire
  • Previous experience in personal hygiene assistance is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between patients
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational credential

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage ranging from $22.59 to $25.38, dependent on qualifications and experience
  • Signing bonuses for the Grey Bruce region: $1500 for full-time and $1000 for part-time, paid in two installments—with the second after six months
