Role Overview
Westpac's Geelong branch is offering a permanent full-time position for a Personal Banker. This role involves direct engagement with customers both face-to-face and via phone to identify their financial needs. Utilizing expert knowledge of banking products, you will guide clients to achieve their financial objectives, referring them to specialized teams such as Home Loans and Business Banking when necessary, and coaching them on the use of digital banking services. This position combines elements of customer service and sales, with responsibility for meeting sales and referral targets, all while ensuring customers are empowered to manage their finances effectively.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role based at the branch, with working hours spanning Monday through Friday.
Candidate Profile
- Although banking experience is preferred, it is not mandatory; success will be driven by a high-energy attitude and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Extensive experience in customer-facing or phone-based sales roles is essential.
- Resilience, adaptability, and tenacity are important to handle the dynamic nature of the role and diverse customer needs.
- Proven track record of meeting performance KPIs alongside a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Comfortable working with numbers and proficient in using multiple digital systems.
