Job description
Job Overview
This role involves delivering both administrative and strategic support to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to ensure efficient management of priorities, seamless coordination of activities, and effective support for HR and organizational initiatives within MTN Ghana's Human Resource division.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the CHRO’s calendar, appointments, meetings, travel plans, and daily agenda to prioritize tasks and optimize executive time usage.
- Coordinate and manage meeting requests, engagements, and communications on behalf of the CHRO.
- Prepare daily briefing materials, executive summaries, meeting packets, notes, presentations, and related documents to facilitate informed decision-making and leadership activities.
- Handle all correspondence including emails, memos, reports, and confidential communications ensuring professionalism and prompt responses.
- Oversee the organization and delivery of Board, Board Subcommittee, Executive Committee (ExCo), and other governance documentation and reports.
- Compose agendas, minutes, action logs, and follow-up reports for meetings, and monitor completion of agreed action items.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the CHRO’s office and both internal and external stakeholders, promoting strong communication and collaboration.
- Maintain and nurture solid working relationships with executives, senior management, business partners, and key stakeholders throughout the company.
- Draft, review, and coordinate reports, presentations, speeches, communication content, and executive correspondence efficiently.
- Compile and coordinate regular Human Resource reports, dashboards, and executive updates weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Track departmental projects, strategic endeavors, milestones, risks, and deadlines, reporting progress and escalating challenges as needed.
- Support implementation, monitoring, and reporting of governance, risk management, compliance, and strategic initiatives in the HR division.
- Assist in budgeting, procurement, expense tracking, and other administrative processes to support departmental operations.
- Manage office logistics, resource planning, and administrative duties to ensure smooth functioning of the CHRO’s office.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Identify and recommend improvements to streamline operations, enhance administrative and governance workflows, and improve reporting effectiveness for the CHRO’s office.

Educational Qualifications
- First degree in Social Science, Psychology, Management, or another related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- At least three years of experience serving as a Personal Assistant to a C-suite executive.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Power platform and Co-pilot.
- Expertise in managing communication and correspondence at an executive level.
- Familiarity with meeting and event coordination tools.
- Strong capability in data and information management.
- Experience in travel and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of executive support systems and related software.
- Skillful preparation of presentations, documents, and reports.
- Competence in business writing and formal reporting.
