Job Overview and Location

This opportunity based in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with 6 to 13 years of experience specializing in performance testing and engineering for web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale engagements focused on comprehensive performance testing and engineering.
• Develop and customize performance testing scripts and scenarios using JMeter, employing diverse scripting techniques.
• Monitor network and system performance, leveraging strong Linux fundamentals for diagnostics related to system resource utilization.
• Utilize Agile methodologies effectively during the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, communicating insights clearly and persuasively.
• Implement and work within CI/CD pipelines to integrate performance testing processes.
• Create frameworks and automation solutions for performance testing.
• Handle performance testing in large distributed systems with significant data volumes.
• Engage with advanced technologies such as cloud infrastructure (notably Azure), container orchestration tools (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes), databases (MySQL), and programming languages (Java, Python).
• Leverage monitoring and analysis tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog for application performance management.
• Lead activities involving Chaos Engineering, observability improvements, and transitioning towards Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Collaborate on data management strategy design, supporting test data generation on demand.
• Utilize specialized client-side performance tools such as UX Engine to evaluate end-user experience.
• Develop virtual services with Mountebank to support performance testing requirements.
• Conduct root cause analyses using various performance engineering tools, including thread dump, heap dump, and garbage collection (GC) log analyses.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 6 years practical experience in performance testing with JMeter, mastering complex UI scripting challenges.
• At least 3 years experience in performance engineering analysis and root cause determination using application performance monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks efficiently.
• Robust communication and documentation aptitude to facilitate effective team collaboration.
