Yield Marketing is a specialized New Zealand marketing agency focused exclusively on agricultural businesses serving various farmers. This niche expertise allows the team to deeply understand client customers and deliver tailored marketing solutions.
Role Overview
The Performance Marketer will play a key role in enhancing the quality and capacity of Yield Marketing's digital advertising efforts. This position involves managing client retainer accounts to ensure ads remain active, on brand, customer-centric, and effective in achieving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns across several client brands, managing budgets carefully to maintain continuous ad activity.
- Create strategically structured copy aligned with customer journey stages so the right messaging reaches the appropriate audience.
- Collaborate on website strategies with the Content Creator and Graphic Designer/Web Developer to ensure landing pages align with traffic and campaign goals.
- Analyze performance data using robust conversion tracking (Meta Pixel, GA4, Google Ads) to identify successes and areas for improvement, implementing prompt changes.
- Develop and maintain client reporting dashboards through Google Analytics and Data Studio to transparently communicate campaign outcomes.
- Conduct creative and audience tests continuously to optimize results and adapt to platform algorithm updates.
- Participate in client meetings to identify opportunities, perform competitive and market analysis, and contribute innovative communication strategies.
- Analyze platform data and video retention statistics to inform the content and video production teams for improved output.
Team Interaction
The role reports directly to the founder and Account Manager, working closely with in-house graphic designers, web developers, photographers, video experts, and content creators.
Candidate Profile
- Intermediate or higher experience level in performance marketing.
- Strong proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube, and media buying techniques.
- Comfortable with analytics and skilled in translating data into clear, actionable decisions.
- Demonstrated excellence in conversion-focused copywriting tailored to customer journeys.
- Strategic mindset with confidence to engage clients directly.
- Ability to multitask effectively across numerous client accounts without losing quality or focus.
- Capability to liaise and collaborate with creative and content teams efficiently.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, multi-client agency environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Canva for ad creation support during peak workloads.
- Experience interpreting video performance and retention data.
- Interest or background in New Zealand agriculture and its workforce.
Additional Information
- Time tracking is mandatory to ensure project delivery within scope and supports payroll processes.
- Daily team meetings at 8am lasting about 30 minutes are required to coordinate and discuss progress or challenges.
- Office location is 127 Alexandra Street, Hamilton Central; on-site presence from 8am to 5pm is expected as remote work is not feasible due to collaboration needs.
- Employees receive an Anytime Fitness gym membership; lunch break from 12pm to 1pm is unpaid but gym time from 1pm to 2pm during lunch is paid.
- Two 15-minute breaks are permitted during the day, subject to workload and meetings.
- Occasional work-related travel across New Zealand is required, including outside standard hours; travel expenses are covered and a $70 stay-away allowance is provided per night.
- A full New Zealand driver's license and legal work eligibility are prerequisites.
