Peoplesoft Developer

Role Overview

This role entails designing, developing, and enhancing PeopleSoft custom objects through various tools like Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, BI Publisher, PS Queries, and SQR. The developer will prepare extensive documentation including functional specifications, use cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria. A vital part of the position involves conducting fit-gap analyses to evaluate differences between business requirements and PeopleSoft standard functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify PeopleSoft objects using diverse PeopleSoft tools and techniques.
• Develop thorough documentation such as functional specifications, use cases, and testing protocols.
• Analyze business needs and assess compatibility with PeopleSoft's standard modules.
• Offer support to users by investigating and resolving incidents and service requests related to finance applications.
• Convert functional requirements into precise technical specifications.
• Diagnose and rectify issues related to applications, batch processes, interfaces, and reporting.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment activities, and provide post-implementation support including defect fixes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least three to five years of combined technical and functional experience supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM).
• Practical involvement with two or more PeopleSoft Financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Asset Management.
• Proven track record of supporting application enhancements, ongoing maintenance, and production environments.
• Strong analytical thought process complemented by troubleshooting capabilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with business users and technical teams.
