Job description

Position Overview

The Penetration Tester will execute penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities with guidance from senior team members, delivering security expertise to CyberCX clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform application, network, system, and infrastructure penetration tests to a high standard under supervision, including the top five and emerging Security Testing and Assurance (STA) services provided by the Practice.
  • Develop detailed, high-quality reports outlining security vulnerabilities, recommendations, and solutions, and participate in presentations and discussions with customers regarding test outcomes, actionable insights, and next steps.
  • Foster strong, enduring relationships with a diverse client base while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs related to client expectation management, timely delivery, work quality, and final deliverables, including performing quality assurance activities.
  • Support knowledge sharing and skill development among STA team members, enhancing both technical and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and accountability through ongoing employee engagement.
  • Contribute to research and development, innovation, and continuous practice improvements under supervision.
  • Collaborate proactively across CyberCX to add value, facilitate communication, build partnerships, and encourage cross-functional teamwork enhancing client service delivery.
  • Maintain utilization targets and ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • A tertiary degree in information systems, software development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Penetration testing certifications such as OSCP are desirable but not mandatory.
  • At least two years of experience as a security testing or cyber practitioner, demonstrating competencies in managing client relationships, time management, technical delivery, and report authoring.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to adapt quickly and remain resilient when facing challenges or setbacks.
