About the Role
Join a globally recognized leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) providing superior quality services designed to support clients facing challenges related to quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility within the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors.
This position, based in Doha, involves executing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections in full compliance with approved procedures, international standards, project-specific guidelines, and client expectations to guarantee the quality and integrity of materials, welds, and equipment.
Primary Duties
- Conduct NDT inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) techniques.
- Analyze and assess inspection findings against relevant codes, standards, and acceptance benchmarks.
- Maintain meticulous inspection records, reports, and relevant documentation.
- Adhere strictly to project specifications, quality protocols, and safety regulations throughout NDT operations.
- Detect and document defects, inconsistencies, and non-conformities, promptly reporting these to supervisors and clients.
- Ensure NDT instruments are calibrated and functional prior to use.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams, supervisors, and client representatives during inspection tasks.
- Uphold cleanliness and proper maintenance of inspection tools and consumables.
- Consistently follow company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies along with client safety mandates.
- Participate in audits, quality reviews, and project meetings as required.
Educational and Certification Requirements
- Possess a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or a Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Hold valid PCN or CSWIP Level II certifications in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant NDT inspection experience post Level II certification.
- Background in the oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, shutdown, turnaround, fabrication, or construction industries.
- Preferably familiar with international codes such as ASME, ASTM, API, and ISO standards.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding processes and inspection criteria.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics, and inspection procedures.
- Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork aptitude.
- Capability to work autonomously and under challenging site conditions.
- Awareness and compliance with HSE regulations and safe work practices.
Additional Advantages
- Possession of further NDT certifications such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Phased Array UT (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Visual Testing (VT), etc.
- Experience working on major oil & gas projects in Gulf countries is preferred.
- Valid offshore certifications and client approvals where applicable.
