Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities of a designated store department.
• Achieve or surpass sales and profitability objectives for the department.
• Provide training and development to department associates on customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising techniques.
• Ensure proper stocking, display, and pricing of merchandise.
• Track inventory levels and collaborate with other departments for timely replenishment.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for both customers and employees.
• Control departmental expenses and support budget planning processes.
• Communicate regularly with store leadership and fellow department managers to align with overall store goals.
• Identify and recruit talented individuals for the team.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate colleagues to enhance productivity, engagement, and retention.
• Uphold merchandising and operational standards consistently.
• Build and guide diverse teams promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is an advantage.
• Have prior experience in retail management, ideally within departmental or specialty stores.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and develop the team.
• Exhibit excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Be flexible to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Understand retail operations encompassing merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
