Role Overview
A prominent healthcare services provider seeks a Payroll Specialist for an 18-month contract role based in Dublin City Centre, with the option to work remotely up to four days weekly. This position involves managing comprehensive payroll operations for multiple internal payrolls.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute weekly and monthly payroll preparations accurately.
- Review and validate payroll submissions for correctness.
- Handle payroll journals and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal departments and external contacts.
- Assist in payroll system upgrade projects.
- Oversee bank account activities and conduct reconciliations.
- Distribute payslips promptly.
- Generate monthly payroll reports as requested by management.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding payroll processes for starters and leavers.
- Address payroll-related inquiries effectively.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of all statutory returns by deadlines.
- Engage in process enhancements including automation, efficiency improvements, and system upgrades.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and comparison reporting.
- Carry out other miscellaneous payroll tasks as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified in or pursuing IPASS certification is preferred.
- Possess a minimum of two years’ payroll experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Deep understanding of Irish payroll processes and legal requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and responsible attitude towards the role.
