Payroll Specialist (w/m/d)

About the Role

We are seeking to strengthen the payroll department for our client, a large value-oriented employer based in Freiburg, for an immediate start. This position offers up to 80% employment (31.6 hours per week) and is initially limited until November 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing payroll processing including calculation of allowances and entitlements
• Providing support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries
• Maintaining accurate payroll and personnel records
• Preparing reports and statistics related to payroll
• Collaborating with internal and external contacts

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completed degree in fields such as financial administration, public management, or administrative sciences, or
• Commercial training combined with relevant work experience or further education in human resources
• Experience with payroll processing
• Knowledge of collective agreements, labor, social insurance, and income tax law
• Enjoyment in working with people and strong service orientation
• Structured, reliable, and independent work style
• Willingness to align with the values and objectives of a church-affiliated employer
