About the Role
Sight Sea Travel is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage its Canadian remote workflow. This role focuses on maintaining data accuracy and ensuring comprehensive financial reporting, specifically involving payroll operations, variance analysis, record maintenance, and reconciliation within the Canadian context.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned payroll responsibilities for Canada by utilizing variance analysis, managing destination work across Italy and Mediterranean reporting, and performing reconciliation to guarantee clear visibility of owner activities.
- Evaluate incoming data through record maintenance, account review, and spreadsheet analysis to detect and rectify incomplete or inconsistent information before proceeding to subsequent workflow stages in Canada.
- Monitor pending actions using Renata Travel DMC Workflow, support audits, and uphold confidentiality while ensuring quality handoffs, clear ownership, and adherence to deadlines.
- Document crucial decisions and handoff details through reports and reconciliation processes so that authorized colleagues can seamlessly continue Canadian workflow without needing historical reconstruction.
- Apply account reviews, spreadsheet analysis, and variance analysis to maintain quality standards; escalate issues when record completeness cannot be verified from available data.

Excellence in this role is demonstrated by strict confidentiality, comprehensive audit support, and effective use of the Renata Travel DMC Workflow—ensuring all tasks are traceable, of high quality, and recorded thoroughly with assigned ownership and verifiable evidence.
Role Requirements
- Hands-on experience with variance analysis, record management, and reconciliation specifically in a remote Canadian workflow setting.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear documentation of ownership status and planned next steps using destination management and account reporting tools.
- Capability to use spreadsheet analysis, maintain confidentiality, and conduct detailed document reviews to sustain accurate records for the company.
- Good judgment with Renata Travel DMC Workflow, audit processes, and variance analysis, including recognizing when escalation is needed for unresolved Canadian workflow items.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, associate-level position based entirely remotely within Canada. The salary range offered for this role is $43,000 to $68,000 annually. Remote work completion is evaluated by how well document reviews, reconciliations, and destination management reporting secure and prepare the Canadian workflow for the next team member.
