Job description
Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team in Singapore. This professional will oversee payroll functions and assist with regional transition projects across Asia Pacific countries, ensuring accurate, timely processing and compliance with local labor laws. Collaboration with internal teams and external payroll vendors is essential to successfully manage multiple priorities in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive payroll operations across several APAC nations in coordination with external payroll providers.
- Verify payroll data, including salary adjustments, allowances, leave records, bonuses, statutory deductions, etc.
- Conduct payroll report assessments and support reconciliation activities.
- Organize payroll schedules to guarantee timely input submissions.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, statutory filings, and audits.
- Address employee queries related to payroll promptly and professionally.
- Maintain precise employee records in HR information systems.
- Coordinate leave management and related HR documentation.
- Ensure payroll activities adhere to company policies and regional labor laws.
- Participate in regional HR/payroll projects such as system deployments and transition efforts.
- Work jointly with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll and/or HR operations.
- Preferably experienced with payroll processes in multiple APAC countries.
- Exposure to collaborating with external payroll vendors is advantageous.
- Knowledgeable in HRIS and payroll platforms such as SAP or SuccessFactors, or equivalents.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well-developed organizational and time management capabilities.
- Confident handling of sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
