Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and trustworthy Payroll Specialist to efficiently oversee payroll activities ensuring timely and precise employee compensation. The selected individual must possess comprehensive expertise in payroll processes, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and be capable of safeguarding sensitive personnel and financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct timely and accurate payroll processing following predetermined schedules.
- Verify and audit employee work hours, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and related payroll data.
- Perform accurate computations of salaries, benefits, taxes, and all payroll adjustments.
- Maintain current and precise payroll employee records.
- Handle updates for new hires, terminations, salary modifications, and promotions.
- Ensure the correct input of payroll data into payroll and HR information systems.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any inconsistencies identified.
- Address employee queries about compensation, deductions, benefits, and payroll documentation.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and internal departments to troubleshoot payroll concerns.
- Generate payroll summaries, reports, and related documentation as required.
- Assist in payroll tax submissions, payments, and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Keep comprehensive records of all payroll operations and supporting materials.
- Facilitate payroll audits by providing necessary reports and documentation.
- Track payroll deadlines ensuring completion of all requisite tasks on time.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll procedures, policies, and legal requirements.
- Protect employee compensation data confidentiality stringently.
- Propose and implement improvements for payroll processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Comprehensive understanding of payroll calculations including taxes, deductions, and benefits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data management.
- Experience with payroll software, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), or accounting platforms.
- Strong proficiency in numerical analysis and problem resolution.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Capable of reconciling complex payroll reports and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Confidential handling of sensitive employee and financial data.
- Effective written and spoken communication skills.
- Capability to manage several payroll functions and deadlines concurrently.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with human resources and finance teams.
