About the Role
Sharp & Carter is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to become part of their collaborative team in Brisbane. This role involves managing the full payroll process with accuracy and efficiency within a well-established organization known for strong employee retention and a supportive work environment.
Key Duties
- Execute precise payroll processing from start to finish.
- Handle deductions and allowances including leave entitlements, terminations, redundancies, parental leave, complying with statutory regulations.
- Interpret and provide advice on Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA).
- Oversee data monitoring within the Time & Attendance system.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and support year-end tasks such as superannuation and payroll tax obligations.
- Deliver ad hoc payroll assistance as requested by the National Payroll Manager.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Effective communication skills with an adaptable and courteous style.
- Ability to adjust to fluctuating workloads in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- A positive attitude and cooperative spirit.
- Excellent team collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, notably Excel, with experience in managing large payroll systems.
