Our dynamic and expanding payroll department in the Kent office seeks a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workload efficiently to guarantee prompt and accurate payroll services for a diverse client base.
- Process payrolls across various client categories accurately and timely.
- Handle pension administration involving multiple pension schemes.
- Review payrolls administered by team members for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain effective communication with payroll clients and liaise with HMRC on their behalf.
- Apply comprehensive legislation knowledge to resolve client payroll inquiries efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of experience in payroll, preferably within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- CIPP qualification preferred or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Proficiency with Sage 50 Payroll software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Relevant payroll certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
- Commitment to confidentiality and discretion standards.
- Capability to perform effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.

Working Hours and Location
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible scheduling options. The role is based onsite in Rochester, England.
