About the Role
Our client, a respected building materials manufacturer known for both product quality and a collaborative team environment, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their well-established organization. This position involves managing the end-to-end payroll process with a focus on accuracy, legal compliance, and efficiency to support employees across all levels of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute accurate and timely processing of complete payroll cycles.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Apply Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) and award conditions correctly within payroll activities.
- Handle employee termination procedures confidentially and professionally.
- Maintain thorough documentation of payroll processes and procedures.
- Support the electronic archiving of historical payroll records.
- Identify opportunities and implement improvements to enhance payroll processing efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing payroll with in-depth knowledge of applicable legislation and compliance standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply EBA and award provisions to payroll accurately.
- Experience handling termination processes with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to company policies.
- Strong understanding of superannuation calculations and compliance obligations.
- Experience using Micropay payroll software is advantageous.
