Job description
Role Summary
Babcock Australia & New Zealand invites applications for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Adelaide's Franklin Street CBD office. Reporting directly to the Payroll Services Manager, the successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, oversee compliance activities, and help enhance payroll procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle complete payroll processing for fortnightly and monthly cycles, guaranteeing correct and punctual payments.
- Maintain precise employee records and administer payroll-related compliance including Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation.
- Support timesheet reviews and processing to streamline payroll accuracy.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders for continuous improvement in payroll systems and service delivery standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Australian citizenship with existing Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Proficiency in HR systems and payroll software such as SuccessFactors, HR3, ADP, Preceda, and/or Dayforce.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, capable of data analysis and generating reports.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll operations, employment law, HR processes, and compliance relevant to payroll management.
- Meticulous attention to detail with dedication to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to foster strong relationships and collaborate effectively within teams and throughout the wider business.
