Job Overview
Our client, a flourishing organisation based in Plymouth, is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their innovative team in a full-time, permanent position. This role offers a great chance for a meticulous payroll professional to fully manage the payroll operations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the complete payroll process across the organisation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all statutory payroll submissions, reports, and compliance obligations.
- Handle workplace pensions, auto-enrolment, and corresponding payroll deductions responsibly.
- Compile payroll journals, reconciliations, and relevant financial documentation.
- Maintain detailed, confidential employee payroll records and promptly address payroll-related inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience in managing end-to-end payroll functions.
- CIPP certification preferred; however, substantial payroll experience alone will be considered.
- Proficient with Sage 50 Payroll or equivalent payroll software.
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy standards.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and payroll management systems.
- Professional demeanor, well-organized, and capable of working autonomously.
