About the Role
A prominent manufacturing company based in Dublin is seeking to enhance its payroll department by hiring a seasoned payroll expert. This role involves handling complex payroll data and offers significant prospects for career advancement, including a potential move into payroll management.
The successful candidate will be engaged in both Irish and UK payroll operations within a large organization, working alongside an experienced team. The position supports hybrid working arrangements and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly and monthly payrolls for various employee groups.
- Verify payroll inputs and confirm employee details prior to payroll processing.
- Administer adjustments related to wages, allowances, deductions, and other payroll elements.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee pension schemes, statutory payments, and related payroll deductions.
- Generate payroll reports and assist with payment procedures.
- Serve as a primary contact for payroll-related employee inquiries.
- Maintain rigorous payroll controls and support audit processes.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments on payroll matters.
- Contribute to the enhancement of payroll processes and systems.
- Develop leadership capabilities with the goal of progressing into payroll management.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of five years' experience in payroll, with strong proficiency in Irish payroll systems; familiarity with UK payroll is beneficial.
- Possession of payroll qualifications such as IPASS or CIPP is preferred.
- Experience working within an internal payroll team is advantageous.
- Ability to manage large payroll populations and adapt to frequent employee changes.
- Competence in auditing payroll inputs to ensure accuracy.
- Sound understanding of payroll reconciliations, pensions, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Motivated to expand responsibilities and advance into a leadership role.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is €55,000 to €60,000 annually, accompanied by pension contributions and additional benefits.
