About the Role and Employer
A significant international entity in the luxury hospitality industry is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their Dublin office. This large organization operates across multiple jurisdictions including Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, the Caribbean, and the US, encompassing over 100 entities.
This position offers an exceptional chance for individuals who are either newly certified or close to completing their accounting qualifications to acquire wide-ranging international accounting exposure within a complex group structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft financial statements and oversee the submission process for a range of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and holding entities, alongside assisting with reports for more complex corporate entities.
- Support the monthly account closing activities such as balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring alignment of intra-group and intercompany accounts.
- Compile audit packages, associated schedules, and working papers; cooperate with external auditors throughout the financial statement audit cycle.
- Organize corporate legal documentation concerning capital distributions, dividends, and company information updates.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and assist with group-wide statutory and financial reporting obligations.
- Maintain and reconcile the intercompany matrix and fixed asset register in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Record cash transactions and year-end accounting adjustments; assist with bookkeeping in SAP and NetSuite and aid payment processing.
- Prepare management information packs for audit submission and provide assistance for ad hoc financial queries within the broader group.
Candidate Profile
- Newly qualified ACCA, ACA or CPA accountant, or nearing qualification completion.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with a focus on Finance.
- Familiarity with IFRS, FRS 102, and the relevant Companies Acts of Ireland and the UK.
- Prior experience in preparing statutory financial accounts.
- Proficiency in Excel complemented by sharp attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to handle concurrent deadlines and work effectively with auditors and tax departments.

Compensation and Location
The role is based onsite in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland offering a salary of €50,000 annually accompanied by an attractive benefits package.
