Our client is a rapidly expanding facilities management firm operating throughout Ireland and the UK. The organisation has seen considerable growth, both organically and via acquisitions, with ambitious plans for further international expansion.
Role Overview
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join the growing Commercial Finance team, providing valuable exposure to finance and operational areas. The Finance Analyst will support a significant business unit by delivering financial insights and commercial analyses to enhance financial and operational outcomes.
A crucial aspect of this role is to improve the budgeting and forecasting processes by simplifying current methods, creating standardised financial models, and ensuring financial data effectively informs decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing annual budgets and monthly reforecasts, collaborating with business leaders to formulate precise financial plans.
- Evaluate and enhance existing budget models, creating simplified, standardised, and scalable budgeting templates.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to provide actionable commercial insights for management.
- Support month-end activities, including preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
- Work closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to align financial results with business activities.
- Develop consistent methods for monitoring key operating expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Track contract and project profitability, identify underperforming segments, and assist with corrective measures.
- Monitor key cost and margin factors, supplying analysis to assist operational and strategic decisions.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional finance certification.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a similarly commercial finance-focused role.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and discern key commercial trends.
- Experience in facilities management or a related sector is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
This position reports into the Commercial Finance team, collaborating extensively with operational and commercial leaders. The role is based in Dublin and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Salary ranges between €65,000 and €75,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
