Role Overview
The Payroll Analyst will manage and support the comprehensive UK payroll process alongside an external payroll provider, ensuring precision, statutory compliance, and timely delivery. This position reports to the Manager of Global Payroll and is based at Springfields with flexible work arrangements between office and remote.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll procedures for the UK in partnership with an external payroll provider.
- Validate payroll results including gross-to-net calculations, payslips, and attendance records.
- Ensure strict adherence to UK payroll legislation such as PAYE, National Insurance, HMRC mandates, and RTI filings.
- Assist in year-end payroll closures, including documentation like P60 and P11D, alongside meeting statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate payroll records covering deductions, benefits, and pension details.
- Oversee pension administration processes including auto-enrolment and contribution tracking.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and support audit activities.
- Investigate and address queries related to salaries, taxes, benefits, and pensions.
- Generate regular and tailored payroll reports for Finance, Human Resources, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to synchronize data across platforms such as SAP and SuccessFactors.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with payroll service providers and internal partners.
- Identify procedural inefficiencies and contribute to continuous process improvements and documentation updates.
Candidate Qualifications
- At least five years’ experience working within UK payroll.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK payroll compliance including PAYE, National Insurance, HMRC reporting, and pension regulations.
- Proven track record supporting full payroll operations in complex or multinational organizations.
- Strong analytical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including skills in data validation and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Work Arrangement
This role is located in the UK with an option for hybrid working, blending time in office and remote work as agreed following operational needs.
