Role Overview
This position is for a Payroll Accountant based in Singapore on a 12-month contract, working on site. The core duty is to manage comprehensive payroll and time management processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration with organizational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle time and attendance processing including data capture, validation, and payroll integration.
- Verify payroll outputs and reports to maintain data integrity and adherence to compliance standards.
- Coordinate with HR and business units to address and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Conduct main and off-cycle payroll processing accurately and punctually.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and generate detailed reports for Finance and Treasury departments.
- Manage salary payment processes through bank platforms, including GIRO and cashier’s orders.
- Ensure statutory submissions, such as CPF contributions, are timely and compliant with relevant laws.
- Handle payroll components related to employee departures, including final settlements, leave encashments, and overtime compensation.
- Process severance payments while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- File IR21 tax clearance documents for foreign employees accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Employee Relations teams to resolve any outstanding payroll balances.
- Provide payroll data and insights supporting month-end activities for Treasury and Finance.
- Work with stock administration to manage Employee Stock Purchase Plan cessations and related reporting.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries through email, phone, and ServiceNow platform within service level agreements.
- Participate in payroll system testing such as SAP UAT and contribute to payroll-related system enhancements.
- Engage in continuous process improvements and undertake HR/payroll related ad hoc projects.
