Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Accountant to join our team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will oversee the thorough review and validation of payroll operations, employee settlements, and associated financial computations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of monthly payroll to confirm correctness and adherence to company policies.
- Assess employee salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, and other payroll components.
- Validate final settlements for staff upon resignation, termination, or contract completion.
- Calculate end-of-service benefits, leave balances, and other employee entitlements accurately.
- Reconcile payroll data against accounting records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Examine payroll modifications ensuring proper approvals and adequate documentation.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance departments to address payroll discrepancies and settlement issues.
- Generate payroll-related reports and reconciliation statements regularly.
- Maintain accurate payroll transaction records in alignment with accounting standards.
- Support both internal and external audits concerning payroll and employee settlements.
- Ensure all payroll activities comply with Saudi labor laws and company regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- At least four years of experience in payroll accounting or similar roles involving payroll review.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll calculations and employee final settlement processes.
- Familiarity with Saudi labor legislation and end-of-service benefit structures.
- Strong analytical capabilities with excellent reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
- Prior experience with Oracle payroll or accounting systems is advantageous.
