BSS Services Senior Engineer

Job Overview

As a BSS Services Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, configuration, and integration of Oracle BSS platforms and services. Your focus will span multiple domains including CRM, Product Catalog, Order Management, Billing, Charging, Revenue Management, and Subscription Management. Ensuring the solutions meet high standards of scalability, security, reliability, and business alignment is fundamental.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Oracle BSS solutions covering CRM, Product Catalog, Order Management, Billing, Charging, Revenue Management, and Subscription Management modules.
• Create and maintain BSS features, workflows, APIs, custom components, and system integrations to satisfy business and operational needs.
• Classify and connect BSS platforms with OSS, digital channel interfaces, ERP systems, payment gateways, data platforms, middleware, API gateways, and third-party systems.
• Lead the configuration and fine-tuning of BSS products including business rules, pricing strategies, product portfolios, charging setups, billing processes, discounts, and customer lifecycle management.
• Engage in software development tasks such as coding, database programming, unit testing, debugging, code reviews, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
• Perform impact assessment, technical architecture design, solution rollout, system testing, and validation for projects, change requests, and upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve issues pertaining to applications, integrations, databases, and production environments through root cause analysis and corrective measures.
• Manage platform upgrades, patch application, release management, data migration, and ongoing production support to uphold system integrity and performance.
• Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, automation workflows, and DevOps pipelines to enhance integration, deployment, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation and collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, architects, quality assurance, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other partners to continuously advance BSS solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Preferred certifications in BSS, Telecommunications, IT, Cloud technologies, or Enterprise Architecture.
• Between 4 to 7 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
