PAUT Operator

Overview

DVS Integrity, together with Integrity Hub, offers specialized NDT, inspection, and heat treatment services across Saudi Arabia's oil, gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a dedicated PAUT Operator to lead ultrasonic inspection tasks at various sites including Jubail in Eastern Province.

Key Duties

• Conduct Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) inspections on welds, piping, pressure vessels, and structural parts in compliance with authorized procedures and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and Saudi Aramco.
• Develop scanning plans, configure and calibrate inspection devices, ensuring thorough coverage prior to running tests.
• Examine, interpret, and evaluate PAUT/TOFD results to pinpoint and size any faults or inconsistencies.
• Generate meticulous inspection reports and compile data files for client review.
• Command on-site inspection teams by assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to safety practices, and meeting timelines.
• Coordinate with client inspectors, QA/QC staff, and Level III experts for technical consultations.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, keeping accurate and current records.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations along with permit-to-work and radiation-free protocols.
• Support and train junior team members and apprentices in technical skills and procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.
• Certified ASNT Level II in Ultrasonic Testing, specifically with PAUT and TOFD qualifications.
• 2 to 5 years of practical experience performing field PAUT/TOFD inspections; fresh graduates with technical background and eagerness to learn are also welcome.
• Possession of Saudi Aramco PAUT/TOFD approval is highly advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of PAUT and TOFD testing principles, including scan planning, focal law application, equipment calibration, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with equipment such as Olympus/Evident OmniScan, Zetec TOPAZ, Sonatest Veo, and software platforms like OmniPC and UltraVision.
• Demonstrated proficiency in report writing and good command of English; Arabic language skills preferred.
• Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
• For non-Saudi applicants, eligibility to hold a transferable Iqama is necessary.
