Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position for a Pathologist is based in Qatar. The primary duty involves analyzing tissues, cells, and bodily fluids to diagnose medical conditions, develop interpretative reports, and support therapeutic decisions made by clinical teams. Routine tasks include performing gross and microscopic pathology examinations, evaluating laboratory findings, correlating clinical data with pathological evidence, and ensuring precise and prompt reporting. The Pathologist will also collaborate closely with clinicians and laboratory teams, participate in quality assurance and accreditation efforts, and comply with health and safety standards. In addition, involvement in case reviews, tumor boards, and enhancing diagnostic protocols is expected.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in diagnostic pathology with competencies in histopathology and cytology, demonstrating strong analytical and interpretive capabilities.
• Competence in laboratory procedures along with commitment to quality assurance and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to support clear reporting, interdisciplinary teamwork, and discussions of cases.
• Capability to manage multiple complex cases efficiently under time pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Possession of an accredited medical degree (MD or equivalent) specialized in pathology, along with appropriate board certification or eligibility.
• Valid license or qualification to obtain licensure for practicing pathology within Qatar, as per local regulations.
• Experience working in hospital or clinical laboratory environments, preferably with participation in multidisciplinary teams and tumor board discussions.
• Dedication to ethical medical practice, continuous learning, and keeping abreast of evolving diagnostic methodologies and technologies.
