Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Pastry Line Operator to manage and operate various bakery production machinery including portioning lines, packing lines, and pastry lines. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of equipment throughout each shift, completing assigned volume targets on time and facilitating smooth handover to subsequent production stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operational readiness and serviceability checks on assigned equipment at the start and end of shifts.
- Record and escalate any mechanical issues affecting equipment performance.
- Set production lines and belts according to product specifications for optimal speed and intervals.
- Maintain continuous smooth operation of machinery during assigned periods.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide guidance to non-operator staff on correct equipment use.
- Adjust machinery settings to improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
- Coordinate with supervisory personnel during emergencies.
- Report daily performance metrics and address any deviations.
Candidate Profile
- Education: High School Diploma, Vocational Qualification, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating food production or bakery mass production machinery or similar equipment.
- Proficient in basic maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery.
- Knowledgeable about equipment safety procedures and requirements.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of major brand machinery.
- Computer literacy and effective English communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities and flexibility regarding working hours.
