About the Role and Organization

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Qatar with a private family office serving an ultra-high-net-worth family. The environment is highly private, service-intensive, and emphasizes refined culinary experiences and hospitality excellence. The role demands collaboration with the family and household staff to deliver custom, high-quality pastry and dessert services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create and present a variety of pastry, bakery, and dessert items that meet the taste expectations of the family and their guests.
  • Develop seasonal and specialty menus, including recipe testing and refinement to ensure exceptional quality and appeal.
  • Maintain strict standards for taste, presentation, and food safety in all pastry products.
  • Supervise pastry production activities, manage inventory and ingredient procurement effectively.
  • Work in concert with kitchen and household personnel to plan and provide pastry catering for private events and special occasions.
  • Advise on purchasing decisions related to pastry ingredients and kitchen equipment.
  • Engage in daily hands-on pastry preparation and implement stringent quality control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry workspace.
  • Occasionally mentor and train other staff members on advanced pastry techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in culinary and pastry artistry, including advanced pastry preparation techniques and creative menu design.
  • Strong background in food and beverage management, emphasizing quality control, food safety, and operational consistency.
  • Experience in catering and hospitality, particularly supporting private receptions and exclusive events.
  • Client-oriented service skills to understand and adapt to the family's preferences and present pastry options effectively.
  • Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience in pastry arts.
  • Previous work in luxury hospitality settings, fine dining, or private households is highly desirable.
  • Highly organized, meticulous time management skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of international dessert varieties is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect for privacy within the household environment.
