Following the successful launch of our Burwood store in 2025, we are preparing to open a new branch near Hyde Park, Sydney, in October 2026. Our brand is celebrated for its signature cream-filled donuts, specialty coffee, and expertly handcrafted pastries made with dedication and quality ingredients.

- Ensure uniformity in product quality, taste, portion sizes, and visual presentation.
- Follow the daily production plan to complete products accurately and punctually.
- Assist the Head and Sous Pastry Chefs with the effective operation of the pastry kitchen.
- Maintain impeccable food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
- Track ingredient inventories, monitor stock levels, product yields, and reduce waste.
- Implement proper storage, labelling, and stock rotation processes.
- Contribute support towards new and seasonal product creation when needed.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the pastry and broader store teams to ensure smooth daily functions.
Candidate Profile
- At least three years of professional experience as a Pastry Chef or related role in pastry.
- Expertise in pastry preparation including dough making, proofing, baking, frying, and creating creams, fillings, and glazes.
- Proven track record in fast-paced, high-standard environments such as commercial bakeries, patisseries, restaurants, or hotels.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong dedication to product quality and consistency.
- Effective organisational and time management capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Dependable, responsible, and capable of working collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Qualification in Pastry Arts, Patisserie, Baking, Culinary Arts or related fields preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Must have full legal working rights in Australia.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $70,000 plus superannuation.
- Complimentary meals and beverages during work hours.
- Exclusive employee discounts on eligible Knotted products.
- Balanced and fair scheduling.
- Opportunities for career advancement within the growing Knotted Australia network.
- A friendly, supportive, and professional workplace atmosphere.
- Chance to be part of the pioneering team opening the Hyde Park location.
