Cafe Knotted, established in Seoul in 2017, is a globally recognized dessert brand with over 40 locations in Korea, plus outlets in the US and Australia. Following the 2025 opening of our Burwood site, we anticipate launching a new store near Hyde Park, Sydney, in October 2026. We specialize in cream-filled donuts, specialty coffees, handmade pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Role Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated Baristas to join our Hyde Park team for the new store opening. Your responsibility will be crafting excellent coffee and beverages to meet Knotted’s quality standards while delivering friendly, efficient customer service in a dynamic café environment.

Key Duties

• Prepare and serve espresso-based and specialty coffee drinks according to Knotted’s guidelines.
• Ensure uniformity of coffee taste, quality, and presentation.
• Dial in espresso machines and adjust grinders during service as needed.
• Provide courteous and prompt service, accurately handling customer orders and operating the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of coffee stations and front-of-house areas.
• Track stock levels for coffee, milk, and other beverages, communicating when restocking is required.
• Comply with food hygiene, safety regulations, and workplace procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support smooth operational flow, including opening, closing, and cleaning activities.

Candidate Profile

• Previous barista experience in high-volume or specialty coffee settings is preferred.
• Competent in espresso preparation, milk texturing, and basic latte art techniques.
• Good grasp of espresso extraction principles and grinder calibration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Able to maintain efficiency and quality during busy shifts.
• Reliable, friendly, detail-oriented, and committed to teamwork.
• Passionate about coffee culture and providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must have full working rights in Australia.
