Overview

This role involves the operation of heavy and light passenger transport vehicles within airport premises, ensuring seamless passenger and logistics support compliant with company policies and customer airline agreements. The driver is responsible for maintaining high service standards while adhering to safety, health, and operational regulations.

Key Duties

• Operate heavy and light passenger vehicles in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Utilize designated systems and applications for passenger transport services.
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and service interruptions.
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service, including operating automated announcements and responding to passenger inquiries.
• Assist passengers during boarding and de-boarding, including those requiring special assistance such as pregnant women, elderly, wheelchair users, and disabled individuals.
• Manage flight profiling for passenger transportation and prepare resources in advance.
• Maintain accurate daily reports including flight details, vehicle assignments, passenger release timings, and operational data via reports or real-time devices.
• Ensure vehicles are driven safely and maintained according to internal regulations and airport vehicle manuals.
• Perform mandatory pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or discrepancies promptly.
• Submit detailed incident reports related to any accidents involving vehicles or drivers promptly.
• Report operational challenges immediately to supervisors to ensure timely resolution and maintain service schedules.
• Responsible for fueling, cleaning, and upkeep of assigned vehicles as per schedule.
• Operate airside vehicles including staff transport and baggage coaches following daily resource allocations.
• Comply with all driving SOPs, rules, and route knowledge at Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards throughout the shift.
• Effectively communicate via radios and telephones with internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally, demonstrating sound judgment and commitment to service quality in a diverse environment.
• Execute additional duties as directed by department leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma with at least one year of related work experience, or Bachelor’s degree without prior experience.
• Possession of a heavy vehicle driving license from home country and eligibility to obtain Qatari Heavy Vehicle License along with Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP).
• In-depth knowledge of safe traffic laws applicable to the operations.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
• Exemplary professionalism demonstrated through communication skills, customer service excellence, punctuality, courtesy, ethical conduct, and personal integrity.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and foster positive teamwork.
