Job description
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Parts Interpreter to become part of our dedicated team located at Export Park, South Australia. This role is essential in managing parts inquiries and quotations efficiently to maintain smooth operations.
Key Duties
- Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally.
- Generate precise quotes for spare parts and follow up to secure customer purchase orders.
- Accurately input customer orders, create delivery dockets, manage stock transfers, and issue invoices.
- Collaborate with suppliers to procure parts for both internal use and customer orders, including organizing collection if needed.
- Produce spare parts invoices weekly and keep track of outstanding orders for reconciliation.
- Manage warranty claims with suppliers, ensuring coordination for receipt of replacement components.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in a similar capacity, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
- A forklift license is highly advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, enabling efficient task prioritization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in data entry and maintaining records.
- Proficiency with computers and competence in using inventory management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently, proactively solving problems while keeping management informed.
