Key Duties

• Maintain the grocery department's cleanliness, orderliness, and proper zoning to ensure it is always presentable to customers.
• Manage product rotation by regularly rotating stock and removing expired or damaged items to uphold product freshness and quality.
• Verify all merchandise is accurately priced and signed, following procedures regarding ordering, clearance pricing, markdowns, labeling, and signage.
• Adhere to food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols to support a safe and sanitary workspace.
• Ensure full stock availability by restocking items, performing downstock tasks when required, applying product protection measures, and arranging display modulars, including flexible displays and new shelf caps.
• Follow corporate health and safety policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and maintain smooth store operations.

Challenges

• Handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment efficiently, planning overnight and shift hours to maintain focus and energy.
• Manage physically demanding work that includes standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly, and sometimes up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail to uphold store standards.
