Parcelforce Collection & Delivery Driver

Role Overview

This permanent full-time position is based at Parcelforce Worldwide in Bristol (postcode BS34 5TB) offering 38 hours per week over 5 days, with working days stretching Monday to Saturday. Specific scheduling will be mutually determined during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary: £25,201 per annum (£12.71 hourly rate)
• Salary increase after 6 months to £27,561 per annum (£13.94 hourly)
• Potential earnings of up to £30,000 annually, contingent on a 38-hour week plus overtime
• Weekend pay premiums of £4.39 on Saturdays and £6.58 on Sundays for contracted hours
• Paid overtime available on weekdays and weekends
• Additional allowances including a monthly non-pensionable addition of £903.84 annually and a weekly driving allowance of £26.73

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and sort parcels to optimize delivery routes effectively
• Perform required vehicle safety inspections before and during shifts
• Collect parcels from depot and deliver to private residences and commercial locations
• Maintain a friendly and reliable demeanor serving customers, whether delivering gifts or time-sensitive business correspondence

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a full manual UK driving license (Category B, up to 3.5 tonnes), registered at current residence with no more than six penalty points
• Physical capability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 30 kilograms
• Personable, trustworthy, and committed to customer service excellence
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing cooperatively within a team environment
