Job Responsibilities

  • Organize and sort parcels effectively, planning delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct mandatory vehicle safety inspections before and during shifts.
  • Collect parcels from various locations and deliver them to customers' homes and businesses.
  • Provide courteous and reliable customer service to recipients, ensuring satisfaction whether delivering personal gifts or vital business documents.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a full valid UK manual driving licence (Category B, up to 3.5 tonnes) registered at your current address, with no more than six penalty points.
  • Physically capable of lifting and handling parcels weighing up to 30 kilograms.
  • Demonstrate a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Seeking a secure, long-term career opportunity within an expanding organization.

Terms and Working Conditions

  • Permanent contract with 38 scheduled working hours per week, primarily from Wednesday to Saturday, 09:00 to 18:30.
  • Potential opportunities for paid overtime shifts.
  • Starting annual salary of £25,201 (£12.71 per hour), increasing to £27,561 (£13.94 per hour) after six months.
  • Potential highest earning opportunity of up to £30,000 annually, based on 38 hours plus overtime.
  • Weekend premiums: an additional £4.39 per hour for Saturdays and £6.58 per hour for Sundays applied to contracted hours.
  • Additional monthly allowance of £903.84 (non-pensionable) and a weekly driving allowance of £26.73.
