Role Overview

As a Collection & Delivery Driver based at the Shrewsbury depot, you will work 38 hours each week, primarily Monday and Wednesday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There are also opportunities for paid overtime. Your duties will include sorting parcels, planning delivery routes, performing vehicle safety inspections, and delivering parcels to residential and business addresses with professionalism and reliability.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary of £25,201 annually (£12.71 per hour)
• Salary increase to £27,561 annually (£13.94 per hour) after 6 months
• Potential earnings up to £30,000 per year, including overtime
• Saturday Weekend Premium of £4.39 on contracted hours

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort parcels and organize delivery routes
• Conduct essential vehicle safety checks before duty
• Collect parcels and deliver them to specified locations
• Maintain a friendly, dependable approach ensuring customer satisfaction for each delivery

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a full UK manual driving license (Category B, up to 3.5 tonnes) linked to current address with no more than 6 penalty points
• Physically capable of lifting parcels weighing up to 30kg
• Exhibit a customer-focused, reliable, and friendly demeanor
• Capable of working independently as well as cooperating effectively within a team
