Panelshop Foreman

Position Overview

Located in Masterton, New Zealand, we are in search of a skilled Foreman for our Panelshop who possesses substantial expertise in panel beating and paint work. This role requires hands-on leadership on the workshop floor, where you will coordinate workloads, oversee workshop reporting, and ensure quality repairs of our vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the workshop team, coordinating tasks to keep projects on schedule.
• Engage directly in workshop activities, lending technical support when needed.
• Manage workshop administration and generate required reports.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive practical experience in panel beating or coachbuilding.
• Demonstrated background in workshop leadership or supervision, emphasizing hands-on management.
• Excellent communication skills capable of effectively guiding a team.
• A strong commitment to quality workmanship with acute attention to detail.
• Proven organizational and planning abilities to meet deadlines, including willingness to work extra hours when necessary.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring apprentices by sharing expertise.
• An orientation towards continuous improvement and maintaining quality standards.
• Possession of a Class 2 Heavy Vehicle Driver's License or readiness to acquire one.
