The Hoxton has recently launched its inaugural hotel in Dublin, the scenic capital of Ireland noted for its rich heritage, lush parks, and vibrant arts and culinary scene. The property features 129 rooms in various sizes, a lobby bar, historic bar, main ground floor restaurant, an additional lobby restaurant, and uniquely, a nightclub.

Role Overview
The Painter & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's appearance and functionality, ensuring a safe, pristine environment for guests and staff across guest rooms, public venues, and staff areas. This role includes high-quality painting, repairing surfaces, and attending to general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive painting services inside and out, including surface preparation, priming, sanding, and applying quality finishes.
- Perform routine touch-up painting in guest rooms, corridors, and communal areas to uphold visual standards.
- Repair and restore damaged walls, ceilings, woodwork, and various surfaces.
- Conduct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance works within skill capabilities.
- Respond swiftly to repair requests initiated by guests or team members.
- Regularly inspect rooms and prominent hotel locations to guarantee readiness for guests.
- Assemble and mend furniture and fixtures as necessary.
- Assist with refurbishment projects, scheduled maintenance plans, event setups, and seasonal decorations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations; correctly use any required personal protective equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a painter/decorator or a versatile maintenance technician.
- Proven practical skills, refined problem-solving abilities, and strong attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously, effectively prioritize duties, and maintain clear communication with team members.
- Experience in hotel or commercial property maintenance and related trade qualifications are advantageous.
- Physical stamina suited to the demands of a hands-on role including manual labor, lifting, and working at heights, with reasonable accommodations provided in compliance with legal requirements.
