Painter

Position Overview

This role requires applying paint, stains, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other property surfaces utilizing tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Candidates will prepare surfaces by applying primers or sealers and removing old finishes through methods like stripping, sanding, wire brushing, or abrasive blasting. The role also involves protecting adjacent areas during painting, placing appropriate signage, and maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of painting tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply various finishes including paint and stain to building surfaces and furniture.
• Prepare new surfaces by applying necessary primers or sealers before finishing.
• Remove old paint and finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, or blasting.
• Protect surrounding surfaces during project execution and post safety paint signs as required.
• Clean and organize painting tools and equipment after use.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust paint or varnish colors as needed.
• Adhere strictly to all organizational safety, security, and maintenance policies.
• Report any hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional and clean personal appearance and uphold confidentiality.
• Welcome guests and deliver courteous, professional service following company standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Assist team members to achieve shared goals and support overall quality standards.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education from a technical, trade, or vocational school beneficial.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience desired.
• No supervisory responsibilities required.
• No mandatory certifications or licenses specified.
