Role Overview

This full-time position based in Doha, Qatar requires the Painter to prepare and finish surfaces using spray, airless, and traditional painting techniques. Responsibilities include surface preparation such as cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming, mixing and matching paints, ensuring correct coating thickness, and adhering strictly to technical and safety standards. The role demands maintenance of tools and materials management while working alongside supervisors and team members to deliver projects on time and to quality benchmarks. Work locations vary and can include both indoor and outdoor client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply coatings with spray and airless equipment as well as brushes and rollers.
• Mix and match paints accurately for color consistency and finish quality.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and manage painting materials efficiently.
• Follow technical instructions, safety protocols, and project schedules to deliver high-quality results.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hands-on experience in paint preparation and application, including mixing, matching, and surface treatment.
• Familiarity with painting and decorating processes across residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Understanding coating types and finishes suitable for various surfaces and environmental conditions.
• Competence in operating spray and airless painting devices safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical guidelines, and maintain cleanliness at job sites.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift, bend, and work at heights; knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety standards.
• Previous professional experience in a similar painting role; vocational certification is advantageous.
• Basic English communication skills and ability to work well within a culturally diverse team under supervisor guidance.
